Although the room initially felt uncomfortable with its stuffy atmosphere and an odd view of the marina and Sakurajima volcano, I eventually adjusted and found it quite homey during my 10-day stay. The hotel staff was very helpful, and the breakfast buffet had decent options, but the limited dining during the typhoon was a major downside. Overall, it had its flaws, but it worked for my needs.

The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of items, although the dinner menu was less appealing to me with its focus on unusual seafood.

Initially, my stay was a bit rocky due to the stuffy room and limited air conditioning, but I eventually warmed up to it, and it felt like a home away from home. The hotel staff were helpful, but the dining options, especially during Typhoon Khanun, left much to be desired. The views, on the other hand, were spectacular, especially of Sakurajima volcano, which made some of the downsides more bearable.

Rooms

The room was a bit stuffy at first, and the view of Sakurajima volcano was mixed with an unattractive marina area.

The hotel staff were cute and helpful, though they spoke very little English, which was manageable with Google Translate.

At first, I was not thrilled with my stuffy room and the odd view of the marina and Sakurajima volcano. However, over time the hotel started to feel like home, especially since it was convenient for my daily activities. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of food, but the lack of alternatives during Typhoon Khanun was disappointing. While the hotel has some perks, such as friendly staff, the experience could have been better overall.

Rooms
6.0
My room had a strange view, and I found it quite noisy being above a beer garden even with the door shut.
Service
8.0
The staff was polite and eager to help, which I appreciated. Although their English was limited, they were very attentive and made an effort to assist me.
Location
5.0
The hotel wasn't ideally located, with not much nearby and requiring public transport to reach central places. But it was conveniently close to the ferry terminal.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast buffet had a good variety, but I wasn't impressed with dinner options, especially the ethically questionable items like shark fin.
Facilities

I loved the pool and hot baths, which were definitely highlights of my stay.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. Initially, I wasn't thrilled with my room's view and air conditioning, but the staff were helpful and made me feel at home eventually. The breakfast offered a decent variety, but during the typhoon, it was disappointing that no additional food was provided. Overall, it was a comfortable stay despite some downsides.

Rooms
7.0
The room was large by Japanese standards and had a clean, quiet environment. However, the view was not ideal, and the air conditioning left much to be desired.
Service
8.0
The staff were really nice and helpful, though they spoke very little English. They assisted me with calling taxis and directions, which was appreciated.
Location
6.0
The location was convenient for getting around, but it was quite far from food options and tourist spots. I had to rely on running to a 7-11 for meals during the typhoon.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast buffet was quite good and offered an interesting mix of items, but dinner options were lackluster, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel restaurant.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had basic facilities, and I appreciated that the lobby had an escalator, but overall, it didn't impress.

Initially, I was not thrilled with my stay due to the stuffy room and the view of an unappealing marina. However, the staff was genuinely helpful and friendly, which made a difference over the course of my ten-day stay. The breakfast buffet was decent, but the hotel’s response during a typhoon could have been better. Overall, it grew on me as a cozy spot, especially considering its proximity to transportation options.

Rooms

I found the room a bit stuffy at first, but it eventually felt like home. It offered a superb view of Sakurajima volcano.
Service

The concierge and hotel staff were really helpful, even with language barriers. They went out of their way to assist me, especially with taxi arrangements.
Location

While it's a bit removed from the main downtown area, the hotel is conveniently located near transportation options, including a ferry terminal and bus stops.
Dining

Breakfast had a wide selection, but I found it monotonous by day four. The options for lunch and dinner were quite limited, especially during the typhoon.
Facilities

The lobby had an escalator, which was nice, but overall the amenities felt lackluster during my stay.
